At Medicine People, we honor a simple truth: we cannot truly serve others—our families, our communities, our heart's calling—without first tending to ourselves. Just as Maslow’s hierarchy reminds us, our own healing, regulation, and wholeness are foundational.
When we are overwhelmed, in pain, or struggling to be in our bodies (the unshakeable reality of being human), it becomes nearly impossible to extend ourselves sustainably or skillfully.
